Dundee's Caird Hall will host the 2025 Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) Award Ceremony on November 6, 2025. This marks the first time the event will be held in Dundee. The SAY Award, established in 2012, recognizes Scotland's outstanding album of the year.
The Scottish Music Industry Association (SMIA) organizes the award and announced the venue change. The move supports regional industry development and celebrates the diversity of Scotland's music scene. Albums released between June 1, 2024, and May 31, 2025, are eligible for the award.
The winner will receive £20,000, with nine runners-up each receiving £1,000. The trophies will be created by a local Dundee designer. The ceremony will feature a performance by 2024 winner Redolent, and the winner of the Modern Scottish Classic Award will also be announced.
The event is expected to attract over 1,500 guests. Dundee's rich musical heritage and vibrant culture are highlighted by the city's selection. Caird Hall is ready for a new chapter.
