Crushed, the Los Angeles-based duo comprising Bre Morell and Shaun Durkan, are set to release their debut album, "No Scope," on September 26, 2025, through Ghostly International. This marks their first full-length project following the critically lauded 2023 EP, "Extra Life." The album's release is highly anticipated by fans and critics alike.
The single "Starburn," accompanied by a video directed by Luke Orlando, precedes the album's launch. The track explores themes of seeking hope in difficult times. Durkan shared insights into the song's creation, reflecting on life's experiences and the desire for meaning.
The album was crafted remotely, with the duo exchanging ideas online before collaborating in person at Jorge Elbrecht's studio. Elbrecht, known for his work with artists such as Japanese Breakfast and Weyes Blood, contributed significantly to the refinement of Crushed's sound. Their music blends '90s dream pop and alt-rock influences.
