Kidjo's selection was announced by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce's panel. The board of directors approved the decision on June 25, 2025. The date of the ceremony is yet to be announced.
Kidjo is known for her vocals and genre-bending music. She has collaborated with numerous artists and is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
