Janet Jackson will be honored with the Icon Award at the 2025 American Music Awards (AMAs), recognizing her significant and lasting impact on the music industry. The ceremony will be broadcast live from the Fontainebleau Las Vegas on Memorial Day, May 26, at 8:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM PT on CBS and will be available to stream on Paramount+.
This year's AMAs will be hosted by Jennifer Lopez, marking her second time in this role. Jackson is also scheduled to perform, making it her first televised performance since 2018.
The AMAs are partnering with the Easy Day Foundation, a Las Vegas-based nonprofit that supports veterans transitioning to civilian life. The broadcast will include special moments to honor U.S. troops and veterans.
