Janet Jackson will be honored with the prestigious ICON Award at the 2025 American Music Awards (AMAs), which will be broadcast live from the Fontainebleau Las Vegas on May 26. This award recognizes her significant and lasting impact on music and popular culture over the past five decades. The event will be hosted by Jennifer Lopez.

Adding to the excitement, Jackson's 2001 hit, "Someone to Call My Lover," has recently seen a resurgence in popularity, driven by social media trends. The song reached #3 on the R&B Digital Songs chart and experienced a 1,400% increase in U.S. on-demand streams.

Las Vegas Residency

Prior to the AMAs, Jackson relaunched her Las Vegas residency, JANET JACKSON: LAS VEGAS, with six shows at Resorts World Theatre from May 21 through May 31. These shows follow her successful Together Again tour in 2023.

Throughout her career, Jackson has sold over 180 million records worldwide and has received numerous accolades, including five GRAMMY Awards, two Emmys, and a Golden Globe. Her album Control broke records, and Rhythm Nation 1814 remains the only album to produce seven top-five singles.

Following her AMAs performance, Jackson will return to Resorts World for additional residency shows on May 28, 30, and 31. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster. The 2025 American Music Awards will celebrate Jackson's enduring legacy and influence on the music industry.
