The Wood Brothers have announced their ninth studio album, Puff Of Smoke, set to release on August 1, 2025, via Honey Jar/Thirty Tigers. The Americana trio has released the lead single, "Witness," offering a preview of the 11-song collection.

"Witness," the album's opening track, is accompanied by a video filmed and edited by Chris Wood. The album, recorded at The Studio Nashville, follows up on 2023's Heart Is The Hero. It embraces an unconventional perspective on life's unpredictability, delivering lyrical wisdom reminiscent of John Prine and showcasing the band's seasoned musical synergy.

Oliver Wood describes the album as embracing the idea of letting go and enjoying the ride. Chris Wood highlights the album's eclectic nature, continuing the sonic exploration that began with their 2006 debut, Ways Not To Lose. The band is scheduled to tour, including dates supporting The String Cheese Incident, and a co-headlining tour with St. Paul & The Broken Bones.
