Florence Road, an Irish band drawing comparisons to The Cranberries, has released their new single, "Caterpillar." The band, consisting of four childhood friends from Wicklow, Ireland – Lily Aron (vocals), Emma Brandon (guitar), Ailbhe Barry (bass), and Hannah Kelly (drums) – is gaining recognition for their unique sound.
"Caterpillar" explores themes of self-consciousness and anxiety. The song was produced by Dan Nigro, known for his work with Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan, and Ryan Linvill. In addition to the studio version, Florence Road has shared a lo-fi live video of "Caterpillar," recorded during a trip to Boston.
The band's first single 'Heavy' was released on March 14, 2025. Florence Road is scheduled to perform at The Great Escape and to open for Wallows in August. Their debut mixtape, “Fall Back,” is set for release on May 19.
