Apple Music has inaugurated its first studio in Asia, located in Tokyo. This marks the seventh such facility globally, joining existing hubs in major cities like Los Angeles, New York, and London. The Tokyo studio will serve as a production center for Apple Music's Japanese radio programs.
The studio will also host video recording facilities for live sessions, documentaries, and artist interviews. To commemorate the opening, Apple Music is launching 'Snow World Radio,' a program hosted by members of J-pop group Snow Man. The group will share musical influences and behind-the-scenes insights.
Apple Music is also debuting 'Listening to,' featuring artists sharing influential songs and personal stories. Initial episodes will showcase Marcy, Ai Tomioka, and Bonbero. Streams for J-Pop outside of Japan have grown significantly, prompting Apple to provide artists with a dedicated space in Tokyo.
