Aditya Narayan, the show's host, noted the end of an era with Dadlani's departure. Dadlani's tenure as a judge began in 2018 with Indian Idol's 10th season. Manasi Ghosh from Kolkata won Indian Idol 15, receiving a cash prize and a car.
