Ed Sheeran has been actively promoting his upcoming album, 'Play,' with several surprise events. On April 4, 2025, he released the album's first single, 'Azizam,' which means 'my dear' in Farsi. To celebrate, Sheeran performed impromptu gigs, including one at King's Cross station in London and another on top of a pink-painted double-decker bus. Sheeran surprised Londoners on April 4, 2025, with pop-up gigs, performing outside King's Cross station. Dressed in a pink T-shirt, he sang 'Azizam' and hits like 'Castle On The Hill' and 'Shape Of You'. Earlier that day, he rode around London in a pink bus promoting 'Azizam'. 'Play,' expected to release sometime in 2025, will follow Sheeran's previous albums 'Subtract' and 'Autumn Variations'. Sheeran has also teased future music, including a track called 'Sapphire'. Adding to his busy schedule, Ed Sheeran has joined the Coachella 2025 lineup, performing on the Mojave stage on April 19, 2025. This came after some artists, including FKA twigs and Anitta, had to cancel their appearances.
