The album sold a total of 71,000 copies within its first week. Despite its success in sales, *I Said I Love You First* debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, outranked by Playboi Carti's *Music*. The album also debuted at No. 6 on the Top Streaming Albums chart, marking the first top 10 appearance for Gomez and Blanco on this chart.
