Billboard Expands Latin Charts; Lady Gaga Dominates Dance Digital Song Sales with 'Abracadabra' and New Releases

Edited by: Inna Horoshkina One

Billboard has broadened its Latin music chart offerings, introducing four new 25-position genre rankings. Effective April 12, these charts—Hot Latin Pop Songs, Hot Regional Mexican Songs, Hot Latin Rhythm Songs, and Hot Tropical Songs—will mirror the methodology of the Hot Latin Songs chart, incorporating streaming, airplay, and sales data.

These sub-genre charts aim to acknowledge Latin artists' achievements based on contemporary consumption patterns across audio and video streaming platforms, radio airplay, and U.S. track purchases, utilizing data from Luminate. The expansion complements existing airplay and album rankings for Latin pop, regional Mexican, Latin rhythm, and tropical music.

Lady Gaga has achieved a notable feat on the Dance Digital Song Sales chart, replacing herself at No. 1. Her track "Abracadabra" ascended from No. 4 to claim the top spot, marking its fifth week in that position out of seven weeks on the chart. This follows the debut of her song "Vanish Into You" at No. 1 the previous week. Gaga also secured multiple debuts within the top 10, including "Shadow of a Man," "Garden of Eden," "Killah" (with Gesaffelstein), and "Love Drug."
