Unreleased Live Album by Klaus Schulze Set for April Release

Edited by: Inna Horoshkina One

A previously unreleased live album by Klaus Schulze, the late pioneer of electronic music, is set to be released on April 25 under the title Bon Voyage (Live Hamburg Audimax 1981) via SPV Recordings.

The album captures Schulze’s performance at Hamburg’s Audimax during his 1981 tour, which included stops in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, and France. He was accompanied by Manuel Göttsching, his former bandmate from Ash Ra Tempel and Cosmic Jokers.

This release follows SPV’s previous posthumous offering, 101, MILKY WAY. Having contributed to Tangerine Dream and Ash Ra Tempel, Schulze played a pivotal role in shaping the Berlin School of cosmic music, influencing generations of ambient and electronic artists.

Bon Voyage will be available in multiple formats:

  • Digipak featuring a double live CD and DVD

  • Double vinyl edition

  • Single vinyl edition

  • Digital streaming and download

This release offers Schulze’s fans a chance to relive the hypnotic energy of his live performances and immerse themselves in the sonic landscapes he masterfully created.
