The upcoming Classix 2025 festival, set to take place in Iași, Romania, from February 23 to March 2, promises a bold reimagining of classical music. Organized by the Creative Industries Association and Showberry, the festival will feature nine concerts, highlighting innovation and artistic diversity in venues such as the iconic Palace of Culture and the National Theater.
The opening concert, In Reverentia, will bring together the Arcadia Quartet and cellist Octavian Lup, who will perform works by Liszt, Beethoven, and Schubert. Another standout performance will be Baroque Royale, celebrating the 30th anniversary of Poland’s Arte dei Suonatori ensemble. Known for their mastery of baroque music on authentic instruments, they will transport audiences back to the 1600s and 1700s. The festival will culminate in a closing concert that blends nuevo tango, Nordic rhythms, and a spectacular Balkan-style finale, offering a unique and vibrant celebration of classical music’s evolution.
Meanwhile, the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Festival (SEF) 2025, scheduled for February 1-2, merges music with entrepreneurship in an exciting fusion of creativity and innovation. Featuring over 250 events across five stages, SEF will host an impressive lineup of performers, including the Canadian duo Music Travel Love, Kuwaiti group Sons of Yusuf, and Egyptian singer Hamza Namira.
Music Travel Love will headline the opening ceremony with their heartfelt acoustic covers and global reach, resonating with audiences across generations.
Sons of Yusuf will showcase their signature 'Arabhop' style, a fusion of hip-hop and traditional Arabic sounds, pushing the boundaries of genre innovation.
Hamza Namira, renowned for his socially conscious lyrics and contemporary sound, will connect deeply with Arab audiences, offering music that bridges the personal and the political.
