King Charles Delays Prince William and Princess Kate's Royal Warrant Authority

Edited by: Татьяна Гуринович

Princess Kate has reportedly faced a disappointment as King Charles has seemingly put a hold on a significant royal privilege. The monarch has postponed the decision to allow Prince William and Catherine to grant their own royal warrants, according to The Times.

Royal warrants are bestowed upon brands whose products are used by members of the royal family. The Prince and Princess of Wales were expected to use this privilege to "recognise British skills and industry".

A source confirmed that applications for royal warrants cannot be considered until the King grants permission. This news is particularly upsetting for Kate, as she would have been the first Princess of Wales to grant royal warrants since 1910.

Even Princess Diana did not have this privilege. Charles, as Prince of Wales, became a grantor in 1980. No official statement has been released by Buckingham or Kensington Palace regarding this matter.
