Celine Dion's Eurovision Appearance in Basel Remains Uncertain Amid Health Concerns

Celine Dion has arrived in Basel, Switzerland, sparking speculation about a potential appearance at Eurovision. Her private jet departed from Paris, fueling rumors of a surprise performance. This comes 37 years after her victory for Switzerland with "Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi."

However, negotiations are reportedly ongoing, and her participation remains uncertain due to her ongoing battle with Stiff Person Syndrome. The 57-year-old singer has faced challenges singing since her diagnosis in December 2022. She did make a rare appearance at the Paris Olympics last summer.

An insider revealed that discussions with Celine's team have been fluctuating for months. While it seemed unlikely earlier in the week, her attendance now appears more probable. Rehearsals have proceeded without her, but hopes remain high for a last-minute appearance.

Celine's pre-recorded video message during Tuesday's semi-final suggested she wouldn't be traveling from Las Vegas. She expressed her desire to be in Basel and reminisced about her life-changing Eurovision win in 1988. She emphasized the unifying power of music, especially in times of need.
