Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez are set to marry in Venice, Italy, from June 24 to 26, 2025, in a ceremony expected to be one of the most lavish of the year. The wedding will be held at the historic Scuola Grande della Misericordia, a 14th-century Venetian landmark.

The three-day celebration will include daily cruises on Bezos's $500 million megayacht, "Koru." Approximately 200 guests, including celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey and Leonardo DiCaprio, are expected to attend. Luxury hotels like The Aman and Hotel Cipriani have been booked to accommodate the VIP guests.

The event has drawn criticism from some residents, with protests planned by the group "No space for Bezos." They accuse Bezos of excessive luxury and turning Venice into a playground. The wedding is estimated to cost between $10 million and $11 million.

The couple plans to source approximately 80% of the wedding provisions from local vendors, including Rosa Salva and Laguna B. Lauren Sánchez's bridal attire is expected to be a custom Oscar de la Renta design.

As the wedding approaches, Venice prepares for heightened security and an influx of celebrities. The event promises to be a spectacle, highlighting the tension between preserving the city's heritage and accommodating high-profile events.
