Queen Letizia of Spain recently attended the centenary celebration of the Madrid Book Fair, held at Cuesta de Moyano. She used the occasion to express her support for reading and share some personal details about her daily life.

During the event, Queen Letizia gave an interview to Cadena Ser radio station. She congratulated the station on its 100th anniversary, emphasizing the enduring power of radio in the modern age. "I believe there are millions of Spaniards who could not live without the radio," she stated.

The Queen revealed that she wakes up every morning to the radio at the Zarzuela Palace. "I don't wake up with alarms or beeps. I open my eyes to the voices of very kind people who tell me how life is going," she confessed, adding that she appreciates the human connection radio provides.

Beyond her love for radio, Queen Letizia is known for her commitment to a healthy lifestyle. She is a strong advocate for nutritious food and exercise, reportedly enjoying yoga and Zumba. Sources suggest she follows the Perricone diet, which includes berry smoothies, egg-white omelets, salmon, and other protein-rich foods.

The Perricone diet also emphasizes healthy fats and low-sugar fruits like strawberries and raspberries. It includes oatmeal, apples, pears, natural yogurt, nuts, melon, and kiwi. Foods like bread, fried foods, pasta, pizza, potatoes, cereals, snacks, sugary drinks, and alcohol are avoided.
