Myrta Merlino's Future at 'Pomeriggio 5' Uncertain Amidst Rumors of Departure

Myrta Merlino, who replaced Barbara D'Urso on Canale 5's 'Pomeriggio 5,' may be leaving the show next season. Rumors are circulating online suggesting Merlino's departure from the Mediaset afternoon program. Gossip expert Deianira Marzano suggests that Serena Bortone, known for her Rai program 'Oggi è un altro giorno,' could potentially take over.

While these are only rumors, Merlino is known for her close relationship with her children. She often shares photos with them on social media, particularly her daughter Caterina, who fans say is her spitting image. Caterina, 23, lives in London and works as a consultant at London Politics after graduating from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Merlino also has twin sons, Giulio and Pietro, born in 1997, from a previous relationship. They prefer to stay out of the spotlight, with Giulio working in marketing for a fashion company. Merlino has spoken about the joy of being a mother and how her children have been a source of strength, especially during difficult times when her then-partner was in a coma.
