Meghan Markle's "As Ever" Brand Faces Trademark Hurdle: Clothing Line Blocked

Meghan Markle's new lifestyle brand, "As Ever," has hit a snag. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has reportedly partially rejected her application to use the name for clothing and apparel, citing a conflict with an existing brand, "ASEVER," which also sells clothing. The USPTO deemed the names too similar, potentially causing confusion among consumers. Markle's legal team has reportedly resubmitted the application, excluding clothing items. This setback follows previous issues with her initial brand name, "American Riviera Orchard," which was also rejected due to its geographical descriptiveness. Additionally, the logo for "American Riviera Orchard" faced accusations of plagiarism from a town in Mallorca, Spain, due to its similarity to their local coat of arms.
