Fedez Opens Up About 'Bella Stronza' and Mental Health Struggles After Sanremo Performance

Following his fourth-place finish at Sanremo 2025 with 'Battito,' Fedez appeared on 'Domenica In,' addressing questions about his personal life and the meaning behind his music. He was immediately asked about the identity of the woman behind 'Bella Stronza,' the song he performed as a cover with Marco Masini. Speculation pointed to Angelica Montini, rumored to be a former love interest, but Fedez remained tight-lipped.

"It's not necessary to know," he stated. "It's a legitimate question, part of my past, but the public doesn't need to know. It wasn't a song of animosity, quite the opposite."

Reflecting on his Sanremo experience, Fedez emphasized its importance in his current life phase. "The greatest gift is the opportunity for a fresh start and a new life," he shared.

Regarding the lyrics of 'Battito,' Fedez clarified that it stemmed from his personal experience with mental health challenges. "After my tumor, I started taking antidepressants and unfortunately ended up in the wrong hands. I ended up taking seven psychotropic drugs all at once, which caused me problems. It refers to that, but it doesn't mean you shouldn't seek help."

He also explained his choice to wear dark lenses during the initial nights of the festival. "They were part of the journey, they helped me because it was like wearing a mask. It was my symbolic thing." He confirmed his children, Leone and Vittoria, watched his performance on delay and were happy for him. "Sanremo was important because it was a competition with myself, more than with others. Today I am happy with how I enjoyed this experience."
