vietnamese firms pioneer food tech, expand globally

Edited by: Olga N

Vietnamese companies are embracing innovative food technologies and sustainable practices to expand their reach in the global market.

NFC Food Co., Ltd. has invested over $1 million in freeze-drying technology, allowing them to produce instant soups and freeze-dried fruits and vegetables that retain their original flavor and nutritional value. Their products, marketed under brands like NATAS, I.SOUP, and I.YAUA, are gaining popularity among Vietnamese communities abroad and are exported to countries including the U.S., Japan, and Australia.

Tam Nong Vietnam Cooperative focuses on organic farming, particularly with chili peppers. They produce "Tuong Ot Lang Ta" chili sauce, which is made through natural fermentation without preservatives or artificial coloring. The cooperative also trains farmers in organic farming techniques and guarantees product purchases at above-market prices. Their chili sauce has successfully entered the Japanese market, and they are expanding their presence through trade fairs and investments in core products like chili and rice.

To further support Vietnamese businesses in Japan, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Van Anh established "TB Market" in Hokkaido, Japan, creating a dedicated space for standardized Vietnamese products.
