Scotland's First Crumble Bar, The Crumbleologist, Set to Open New Venue with Self-Service Custard Machine in Glasgow

Edited by: Olga N

The Crumbleologist, Scotland's first crumble bar, is opening a new venue in Glasgow at the Clydeside Containers in late spring.

Run by Alan McCurdy, the bar specializes in gluten-free, mostly plant-based fruit crumbles with flavors like cherry amaretto and rhubarb dragon fruit gin, alongside classics like apple cinnamon.

Inspired by a similar business in London, McCurdy aims to elevate crumbles beyond traditional desserts, catering to dietary needs, including those with coeliac disease.

The new venue will feature a self-service custard machine, enhancing the customer experience.

Currently operating a stall at the Barras Market, The Crumbleologist has gained a loyal following, attracting customers from across Scotland.
