🥄 Inventor Redesigned an Ordinary Spoon and Landed a $3,5 Million Deal!-1

33-year-old Indian designer Rahul Agarwal (a graduate of the National Institute of Design in Ahmedabad) decided to challenge the stereotype that the design of an ordinary spoon has already reached its evolutionary perfection.

He once heard from a teacher that it was pointless to try to improve objects that had already achieved perfection.

As an example, the teacher cited an ordinary spoon.

Rahul decided to prove otherwise!

He developed the flat folding spoon Polygons, which resembles a bookmark but, thanks to its special design, transforms into a teaspoon, tablespoon, or measuring spoon.

It took three years, more than a thousand design variants, and 16 trips to China to create the product.

And then the inventor presented his brainchild on the American show Shark Tank.

Then the inventor presented his brainchild on the famous American show Shark Tank. His presentation made such an impression that he landed a deal for $350 000, which valued his startup at approximately $3,5–5 million.

The funniest part: Rahul admitted that he himself hardly ever cooks!

So it turns out that a man who doesn't like standing at the stove spent three years of his life perfecting a spoon.

And it seems that now he can afford never to cook at all! 😂
