Tom Cruise and Cuba Gooding Jr. shared a heartwarming reunion at the Cannes Film Festival on May 15, 2025, nearly 30 years after starring together in Jerry Maguire. Cruise was at Cannes to showcase Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, which premiered on May 14, while Gooding Jr. was honored with the Global Short Film Awards 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award on May 19.
The actors posed on the red carpet, both dressed in classic attire. Cruise starred as sports agent Jerry Maguire in the 1996 hit, with Gooding Jr. playing his client, NFL receiver Rod Tidwell.
Cruise's latest film, Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, had its world premiere in Tokyo on May 5, screened at Cannes Film Festival on May 14, and is set to release nationwide on May 23, 2025. Gooding Jr. is also promoting his new films, Quantum Supremacy and A Line of Fire.
