Vince Vaughn is having a busy 2025 with both a new film and the continuation of a popular series. He stars in Netflix's upcoming film, Nonnas, which was released on May 9, 2025. This culinary comedy, inspired by a true story, features Vaughn as Joe Scaravella, an MTA worker who honors his mother's memory by opening an Italian restaurant and hiring elderly Italian women ('nonnas') to cook authentic dishes.

Nonnas Film Details

Nonnas explores the themes of food, family, and cherished memories. Vaughn is joined by a stellar cast, including Susan Sarandon, Lorraine Bracco, and Talia Shire. The film is based on the life of Joe Scaravella, owner of Enoteca Maria, a Staten Island restaurant where grandmothers from around the world are invited to cook.

Bad Monkey Season 2

Vaughn also provided updates on the second season of his Apple TV+ series, Bad Monkey. Production is set to begin in 2025, with some filming relocating to California. While the show is set in Florida, interior scenes will be filmed in California, allowing actors to be closer to home. Vaughn has stated that the new season will build upon the foundation laid in the first season.
