The first trailer for Mike Flanagan's adaptation of Stephen King's novella, "The Life of Chuck," has been released. The film, based on King's 2020 novella from "If It Bleeds," is directed by Mike Flanagan, known for his previous King adaptations such as "Gerald's Game" and "Doctor Sleep."

Unlike Flanagan's typical horror projects, "The Life of Chuck" is more aligned with King's optimistic stories, similar to "Stand by Me" and "The Green Mile". The film follows Charles "Chuck" Krantz, played by Tom Hiddleston, Jacob Tremblay, and Mark Hamill, across different ages. The narrative unfolds in reverse chronological order, exploring why Chuck's image is appearing everywhere as the world seems to be crumbling.

"The Life of Chuck" premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6, 2024, and won the People's Choice Award. Neon acquired distribution rights, and the film is set to release in select theaters on June 6, 2025, before expanding nationwide on June 13. The film also stars Karen Gillan, Annalise Basso, and Mia Sara.
