Netflix Bets Big on Asterix: Five Animated Episodes of "Asterix and the Big Fight" Coming April 30th

Netflix is making a significant investment in the beloved French comic book character Asterix. On April 30th, the streaming giant will release five animated episodes based on the classic story "Asterix and the Big Fight." This adaptation, originally intended as a film, will not feature magic potion due to Panoramix suffering a head injury. Alain Chabat, director of "Asterix & Obelix: Mission Cleopatra," was initially approached but declined to direct, fearing he couldn't replicate the success. Céleste Surugue from Albert René Editions revealed that Chabat provided a brilliant thirty-page outline in 2018. Netflix's adaptation promises a fresh take on the classic tale of Asterix and his adventures.
