Classic Returns: "The Sound of Music" Celebrates 60th Anniversary with Re-Release & "Raanjhanaa" Back in Theaters on February 28

The iconic 20th Century Studios film, "The Sound of Music," is celebrating its 60th anniversary with a re-release in cinemas and on physical media. The film has been restored in 4K resolution. The Walt Disney Film Restoration team spent nine months digitally scanning and cleaning preserved film footage to correct any imperfections. The re-release will allow fans of all ages to experience the classic film with vibrant color and sound. The restored version is also expected to arrive on Disney+ after its theatrical and 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray release.

In other news, the 2013 romantic drama "Raanjhanaa," starring Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor, is set to return to theaters on February 28. PVR Cinemas announced the re-release, allowing fans to relive the love story. Adding to the excitement, a spin-off titled "Tere Ishk Mein," starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, has been announced, with a teaser offering a glimpse into a gripping new tale.
