On January 16, 2025, cinemas will debut 'Death of Putin,' a provocative crime-drama directed by Polish filmmaker Patryk Vega. This unique project, a collaboration between the USA, Poland, and Malta, blends artificial intelligence technology with historical analysis.

The film invites viewers to delve into the life of one of modern history's most notorious dictators, tracing his journey from childhood to death. Through an in-depth exploration of his biography, the creators aim to reveal the motivations and psychological transformations of the Russian leader.

To accurately portray the dictator, the team employed revolutionary AI technology. Due to a lack of high-quality footage available, traditional deepfake methods were not feasible. Instead, they developed a specialized algorithm to recreate the character's authentic appearance and expressions based on available videos and photographs.

Production took nearly two years, with extensive research into documents related to tragic events such as the Dubrovka theater hostage crisis and the Beslan school siege, as well as numerous war crimes during Russia's invasion of Ukraine. AI emerged as a crucial tool, elevating historical reconstruction to new heights.

Anticipated for release in 35 countries, including Ukraine, where it will screen in the 'Planeta Kino' chain, the filmmakers hope the film will spark widespread discussion due to its provocative themes and innovative approach.

'Death of Putin' is not just a film; it is an artistic endeavor to understand the absurdity of aggressive politics and its implications for the world. It exemplifies how AI technology can transform cinema and open new horizons for depicting complex historical figures.
