Edited by: Екатерина С.

On July 6, 2025, Parisian fashion house Patou presented its Spring-Summer 2026 collection, titled "Joy," at the Maison de la Chimie. The collection paid homage to the miniskirt, a garment popularized by British designer Mary Quant in the 1960s.

The collection showcased ethereal silhouettes, romantic floral patterns, retro polka dots inspired by the 1960s, and stripes reminiscent of the French Riviera style. Celebrities such as Diane Kruger, Joyce Cissé, Pauline Ducruet, Sarah Ramos, and Pauline Chalamet attended the show, wearing miniskirt designs.

Mary Quant's miniskirt, introduced in the early 1960s, revolutionized women's fashion by providing comfort and freedom of movement. It became a symbol of women's emancipation and the Swinging London culture. Patou's "Joy" collection reintroduces the miniskirt in a contemporary context, celebrating its heritage and ongoing relevance in modern fashion.
