Hugo launches 3D-printed loafers

Edited by: Екатерина С.

Hugo has introduced its first 3D-printed loafer, a collaboration with Zellerfeld, a 3D footwear manufacturer. This innovative model was showcased at the NAMESAKE runway show during Paris Fashion Week on June 29, 2025.

The loafer is custom-made for each customer at Zellerfeld's "print farm" in Hamburg, Germany. These fully recyclable and repairable shoes are 3D-printed on demand, minimizing overproduction and promoting sustainability. The loafer is available in beige, black, red, orange, or blue.

Constructed from TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane), the loafer offers quick-drying properties, easy cleaning, and odor resistance. The design incorporates a fully printed closure system, eliminating seams, glue, and additional parts. This ensures optimal locking and adjustment through its structure.

This model aligns with the Hugo Forward initiative, highlighting the brand's technological and innovative approach to design for a more sustainable fashion industry. The loafer is available on zellerfeld.com and at Hugo stores in Amsterdam and Milan. Zellerfeld is known for producing fully customized and recyclable footwear using 3D printing, creating bespoke shoes based on digital foot scans.

The partnership with Hugo marks a significant step in adopting 3D printing in fashion, providing design flexibility, faster production times, and material efficiency. This collaboration underscores Hugo and Zellerfeld's commitment to sustainable and innovative practices, catering to consumer demand for personalized and eco-friendly products.
