Chanel's Couture Collection Unveiled in Paris

Edited by: Екатерина С.

Chanel celebrated its 110th anniversary with the Fall-Winter 2025/26 Haute Couture collection at the newly restored Grand Palais in Paris. The show recreated the iconic Rue Cambon salon, blending intimacy with grandeur.

The collection drew inspiration from nature, featuring ecru, ivory, brown, green, and black silhouettes. Wheat ears, a symbol of abundance, adorned designs as jeweled buttons and intricate embroideries. Menswear-inspired tailoring, mohair suits, and bouclé tweeds were prominent.

Celebrities such as Penélope Cruz and Naomi Campbell attended the event. This presentation marked the debut of Matthieu Blazy as Chanel's new artistic director. Chanel is investing heavily despite a challenging luxury market.

Chanel reported a 4.3% sales decline in 2024, totaling $18.7 billion, and a 30% drop in operating profit. The company plans to invest $1.8 billion in capital expenditures in 2025 and allocate an additional $600 million to strengthen its supply chains. The Grand Palais restoration, co-funded by Chanel, provided a stunning backdrop.

The collection reflects Chanel's dedication to innovation while honoring its history. This sets the stage for a new era under Blazy's creative direction. The brand's long-term vision remains steadfast despite economic uncertainties.
