Real Leather. Stay Different. Announces 2025 Design Competition

The Real Leather. Stay Different. (RLSD) International Student Design Competition 2025 is now open for entries from fashion and design students worldwide, including India. This global competition encourages participants to showcase their talent and promote sustainability in fashion.

Celebrating its fifth year, RLSD focuses on apparel, accessories, and footwear designs that challenge fast fashion by using natural materials for lasting style. The competition encourages the use of leather to deliver a more sustainable future and prompts the next generation of designers to think 'slow fashion'.

Competition Details

Finalists will present their work to industry experts. Entries must use at least 50% natural cowhide leather and include sketches, specifications, and a storyboard.

Registration is open from March 1, 2025, to June 30, 2025, to students and recent graduates not employed full-time in the creative sector. Winning entries will be featured in the RLSD capsule collection at global events. Category winners will be flown to the final judging and award ceremony in an Asian fashion capital.
