London Fashion Week (LFW) commenced on February 20th, showcasing a season marked by adaptation. Several brands opted out or shifted formats, reflecting the luxury market's slowdown. Some independent firms are choosing to show once a year. Marques Almeida, Bobby Abley, Carlota Barrera, and Patrick McDowell withdrew, with McDowell hosting an intimate dinner in collaboration with Ecovative. 16Arlington, Aaron Esh, and Feben are also hosting dinners instead of traditional shows. Johanna Parv and Ancuta Sarca transitioned to digital presentations, as did Masha Popova, Karoline Vitto, and Derrick. Priya Ahluwalia continues her collaboration with Pandora, designing jewelry engravings.
Pauline Dujancourt, LVMH Prize finalist, will present her second collection alongside Yaku Stapleton. SS Daley, a late addition, will present both womenswear and menswear shows. Steven Stokey-Daley, after winning the Queen Elizabeth II Award and receiving investment from Harry Styles, launched a womenswear line in September.
