Toulouse, France, is set to host the "Claude Monet: The Immersive Experience," marking the exhibition's first presentation in France. Opening on July 3, 2025, the immersive showcase follows successful runs in cities like London, Brussels, and Barcelona.
The exhibition, which has captivated over a million visitors globally since 2019, leverages a 360-degree digital display, virtual reality, and a custom scenography designed for the unique architecture of the EDF Bazacle spaces. Over 300 of Monet's paintings will be brought to life through projections on walls and floors, offering a dynamic and engaging experience.
Visitors can also embark on a ten-minute virtual reality journey, retracing Monet's steps. Furthermore, a dedicated space will recreate the iconic Giverny bridge and his studio, providing deeper insights into the life and work of the Impressionist master, who died in 1926. Organized by Exhibition Hub, the exhibition will be open daily, excluding Tuesdays, throughout the summer, with a potential extension based on its popularity.
The arrival of the Monet exhibition in Toulouse follows the recent closure of the M.C. Escher exhibition at the same venue, which attracted over 130,000 visitors in under six months. This underscores the enduring appeal of immersive art experiences, mirroring the success of previous exhibitions, such as the Van Gogh immersive experience in 2022 and 2023.
The immersive format continues to gain traction, offering audiences innovative ways to connect with art and artists. The Toulouse exhibition highlights this growing trend, promising a captivating experience for art enthusiasts worldwide.
