The 44th Festival del Caribe, also known as Fiesta del Fuego, took place in Santiago de Cuba from July 3rd to 9th, 2025, with Curacao as the guest of honor.

This annual event celebrates the vibrant cultural heritage of the Caribbean, bringing together artists, musicians, dancers, and culture enthusiasts from across the region.

The Curacao delegation comprised over 140 participants, showcasing the island's artistic and cultural contributions.

Throughout the festival week, Santiago de Cuba's streets and cultural venues were alive with music, dance, theater, visual arts, and religious ceremonies.

Key events included the Desfile de la Serpiente (Snake Parade), the Tribute to the Cimarrón, and the Quema del Diablo (Burning of the Devil), alongside international workshops and poetry readings.
