Serralves em Festa: Avant-Garde Festival Returns to Porto

The 19th edition of Serralves em Festa, described as an "avant-garde festival accessible to all," will take place from May 30 to June 1 in Porto. The event, held at the Serralves Foundation, will feature a diverse program of music, performing arts, and contemporary circus. The festival extends to Porto's Baixa and Gaia on May 29. The music lineup includes Spiritualized, Fidju Kitxora, and Três Tristes Tigres. Collaborative projects such as Saagara, Use Knife, and Aunty Rayzor with DJ Tobzy will also perform. Boris Charmatz will present '20 Dancers for the XX Century,' a performance recovering iconic gestures from 20th-century dance. Other performing arts highlights include EDNI, [hug], and Moving Landscapes. The Puerto Rican collective Poncili Creación will present a multi-sensory spectacle. Esquive will be the main contemporary circus offering, a tribute to the trampoline as a metaphor for human aspiration.
