The Patna Museum is set to open its new galleries, 'Patli' and 'Ganga,' along with a 'sculpture garden' by May. This is part of an ongoing modernization and expansion project. The Rs 158 crore project includes a new building, renovation of the main building, and a connecting passage. The new building houses the Ganga gallery, focused on the evolution of civilization on the river's banks, and the Patli gallery, showcasing the emergence of Patliputra. The sculpture garden will feature 105 sculptures with themes on Hinduism and Buddhism. The new building will also feature a 2-D auditorium, temporary exhibition space, and administrative offices. The museum aims to become a significant tourist destination, presenting Bihar's historical legacy in an innovative way.
