Surrealist Dialogues: Toledo Collection Showcases Global Surrealism at IAGO, Oaxaca (Apr 11-May 23, 2025)

The Instituto de Artes Gráficas de Oaxaca (IAGO) is presenting "Surrealist Dialogues: A Look at Surrealism from the Toledo Collection," an exhibition of 51 graphic works by 30 national and international artists from April 11 to May 23, 2025. The exhibition features pieces collected by the late Francisco Toledo, highlighting Surrealism's lasting influence. The exhibition includes works by pioneers like Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró, and Max Ernst, alongside Max Klinger, Francisco de Goya, and James Ensor. It also features pieces by André Masson, Alberto Giacometti, Man Ray, and Kurt Seligmann, as well as Latin American artists like Wilfredo Lam and Roberto Matta, and Mexicans Juan O'Gorman, Julio Castellanos, and José Clemente Orozco. Curated by Ariel Miranda, "Surrealist Dialogues" explores Surrealism's impact on art history and its relevance in contemporary art. The exhibition is located at Macedonio Alcalá 507, Centro, Oaxaca.
