Saudi Arabia Launches AI Infrastructure Joint Venture to Propel Global AI Leadership

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia - A significant joint venture has been launched between Gcore, a global provider of edge AI and cloud solutions, and Ezditek, a leader in digital infrastructure services in Saudi Arabia. This partnership aims to establish a high-performance AI infrastructure, referred to as an 'AI factory', designed for the development and deployment of generative AI solutions both locally and globally.

The agreement, initiated in May 2024, marks a pivotal step in supporting Saudi Arabia's ambition to become a leading global hub for artificial intelligence. The AI factory will be integrated within an Ezditek data center, housing tens of thousands of GPUs to facilitate the training and deployment of advanced AI models.

Andre Reitenbach, CEO of Gcore, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, emphasizing the new standards being set for AI infrastructure in the region. Ibrahim Almulhim, CEO of Ezditek, highlighted the shared commitment to enhancing AI innovation and adoption in alignment with Saudi Arabia's vision for AI leadership.

Eng. Bassam Al-Bassam, Deputy Minister of Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure, noted that this partnership will not only accelerate AI and cloud computing solutions but also boost digital investment and enhance the national digital capacity in Saudi Arabia.
