Croatia Unveils 'Climadiversity' Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka
The World Expo 2025 Osaka officially opened on April 13, 2025, marking the debut of the Croatian pavilion. The pavilion is named 'Croatia - climadiversity' and represents Croatia's unique technological and artistic interpretation of its diverse climate.
The Croatian pavilion offers an immersive experience that dynamically changes based on real-time weather data from Croatia. Thermal cameras capture visitor interactions with the pavilion's microclimates. Live thermal images from Croatian meteorological stations, adjusted for the time difference, are broadcast within the pavilion and online.
The pavilion's design was conceived by Lana Grahek, Maroje Mrduljaš, Antonio Patljak, Korina Vuković, and Pero Vuković of ARHIV arhitektura i urbanizam d.o.o., and constructed by Enison. The Expo 2025 Osaka takes place from April 13 to October 13, 2025, on Yumeshima Island, under the theme 'Designing Future Society for Our Lives'. The event anticipates over 28 million visitors, with participation from 158 countries and 7 international organizations.
