France has unveiled its pavilion for the Osaka Expo 2025, emphasizing sustainability, innovation, and the strengthening of cultural ties with Japan. The pavilion, designed by a Franco-Italian consortium led by Thomas Coldefy, features a durable structure with recyclable steel, a double exterior for thermal performance, and a green roof. It aims to welcome three million visitors over six months, showcasing French luxury, craftsmanship, and technological advancements. The design is inspired by the Japanese legend of the 'akai ito,' symbolizing the invisible bond between France and Japan. The pavilion also includes a garden with a thousand-year-old olive tree and shaded waiting areas to combat Japan's hot summers.
