Three prominent private schools in Sydney have unveiled plans for significant architectural upgrades, with a total investment of $419 million aimed at enhancing educational facilities. The King's School has submitted a proposal for a $170 million campus development, which will feature a new science and technology building, nine staff townhouses, and a performing arts centre for primary school students.
Meanwhile, MLC School in Burwood is planning to invest $108 million in a new performing arts and sports centre, which will include a 400-seat theatre and a health centre. Waverley College has also lodged a proposal for a $141 million renovation project that aims to overhaul buildings and classrooms over the next 15 years.
These ambitious plans are currently under review by the NSW Department of Planning and Environment, reflecting a growing trend among educational institutions to invest in modern facilities that foster creativity and scientific inquiry.
