Minor to moderate geomagnetic storming occurred between March 23 and 24. This was due to a Coronal Hole aimed at Earth and a Coronal Mass Ejection. Solar wind speeds decreased from 480 km/s to approximately 400 km/s. A Coronal Mass Ejection from March 22 may have impacted Earth on March 24-25. The influence of the Coronal Hole High Speed Stream is expected to wane. Forecasts from the Royal Observatory of Belgium and the UK Met Office anticipated enhanced solar wind speed and potential minor to moderate storming, with a slight chance of strong storming.
