Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore Return to Earth After 9-Month ISS Mission, June 2024

NASA astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore returned to Earth on Tuesday, June 2024, after spending nine months aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Their SpaceX capsule splashed down in the Gulf of Mexico near Tallahassee, Florida. The mission, initially planned for eight days, was extended due to technical issues. During their stay, Williams and Wilmore completed spacewalks and scientific experiments. Williams set a record for female astronauts with 62 hours of spacewalking time. After landing, both astronauts underwent routine medical examinations.
