The Indian government has approved the Chandrayaan-5 mission, targeting a lunar landing by 2040. ISRO also plans to launch its own space station by 2035. Chandrayaan-5 will include a 350 kg rover, with collaborative efforts planned with Japan for future lunar missions. ISRO has successfully executed three Chandrayaan missions, including Chandrayaan-3, which achieved a soft landing on the moon. The Chandrayaan-5/LuPEX mission aims to demonstrate a higher capacity lander, essential for future landing missions, including human landings. India also plans to establish its own space station, the 'Bharatiya Antriksh Station,' by 2035. ISRO has successfully launched 433 satellites from Indian soil, achieving a 90 percent success rate.
