A project called "The Building with Arches - a Digital Gateway to Macedonia's Roman Past" is presenting a significant 3D photorealistic reconstruction of one of the important architectural landmarks of the ancient city of Stobi in North Macedonia.
This initiative, combining archaeological data with modern digital modeling technologies, offers new insights into the region's historical and cultural heritage and allows it to be presented in an interactive format for a wide audience.
The project is the result of a collaboration between the National Institute of Stobi and the Center for Social Innovations Blink 42-21 from Skopje and is implemented with the support of the European Union within the DIGI Heritage Hubs program.
The goal of the initiative is to implement digital solutions to enhance the accessibility and attractiveness of cultural heritage, as well as to develop interactive forms of its presentation for visitors and researchers.
The creators of the reconstruction use detailed 3D models and digital art, combining archaeology, technological expertise, and scientific research to "revive" the historical building with arches, bring it closer to the public, and emphasize the importance of digitalization in preserving and popularizing Macedonian cultural heritage.
