Mount Everest: Lost Boot of Andrew Irvine Found After a Century

A National Geographic expedition has potentially solved a century-old mystery. The team discovered what they believe to be the boot of Andrew 'Sandy' Irvine. Irvine disappeared on Mount Everest in 1924. The discovery was made on the Central Rongbuk Glacier, under Everest's north face. Photographer Jimmy Chin identified the boot by Irvine's initials.
