China showcased lunar samples collected by the Chang'e-5 and Chang'e-6 missions at the Shanghai World Expo Center during China's National Space Day celebrations on April 24. The Chang'e-6 mission, which recently gathered samples from the far side of the Moon, made these samples available for public viewing.
Lunar samples from the Chang'e-5 mission, collected in December 2020, were also part of the display. This mission marked a significant milestone, making China the first country to successfully bring back lunar samples from the Moon.
Additionally, Chinese scientists are exploring the possibility of constructing a magnetic levitation facility on the Moon. This innovative facility could potentially revolutionize cargo transport between the Moon and Earth.
